The faculty, staff and PTA of PS 59, The Beekman Hill International School,
would like to thank all our students and their families for a wonderful year
in our new temporary home on 63rd Street.
2008-2009 was a year of new energy and excitement about education,
playing in our new gym, eating in our new cafeteria,
and welcoming several new teachers to the PS 59 Family.

The coming year presents us with new opportunities and new challenges, as we open a 4th First Grade Class, and our first Fifth Grade Collaborative Team Teaching Class. Although classroom space will be tight, we are committed to our Art, Music and Science programs, and welcome our new after-school partners, the Yorkville Youth Athletic Association.

NEW TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD ZONE?

Our Kindergarten classes are now full. If your child was born in 2004 and is not yet registered for the fall, please contact the District 2 Integrated Service Center at 333 Seventh Avenue, tel: 212 356 3700. Please check out the NYC DOE web page for updates.

Registration for Grades 1 - 5 will recommence on Friday, September 4th.

For Registration for eligible students new to the area, please bring your child, his/her birth certificate,
immunization records and 2 proofs of residence in our neighborhood zone.

OFFICIAL TOURS OF PS 59 have not yet been scheduled for families of children
living in the PS 59 neighborhood zone born in 2005 or earlier for the 2010 Kindergarten Class.
